Position Overview

We are seeking highly experienced transmission professionals to serve as independent third-party safety oversight on transmission line, civil construction, and substation projects. This position requires deep technical knowledge of transmission construction methods, energized work exposure controls, high-voltage hazard mitigation and safe rigging procedures.

Required Experience

• Minimum ten (10) years as a transmission journeyman lineworker
• Experience in:
• Transmission line construction
• Civil construction associated with transmission
• Substation construction and maintenance
• Strong knowledge of:
• Protective grounding concepts and standards
• Switching, tagging, and clearance protocols
• Minimum Approach Distances (MAD)
• Job Safety Analysis (JSA)
• Traffic control and safe work zone practices
• Federal MUTCD Regulations
• Rigging and lifting procedures
• OSHA 29 CFR 1910 General industry and applicable electrical standards

Responsibilities

• Maintain field presence on active transmission projects
• Observe energized and/or de-energized construction and maintenance work
• Document behavioral observations using digital oversight tools
• Provide real-time coaching and reinforcement
• Exercise stop-work authority when unsafe conditions exist
• Interface professionally with employees and leaders

Work Environment

• Outdoor field conditions in varied climates and terrain
• Urban, rural, and high-traffic environments
• Fast-paced utility construction environments
• Travel may be required depending on client location

Required Qualifications

• Valid driver’s license
• Demonstrated ability to operate independently
• Strong written documentation skills
• Professional presence and communication capability

Preferred Certifications

• OSHA 10/30
• CPR / First Aid / AED
• CUSP
